Where has the year gone ? It seems an almost endless winter of rain and drizzle. Even as i write this blog, it is raining ! I wanted to get out today and take some photos of woodland. However it is raining ! I then thought i would go windsurfing . The wind is poor ! It is nearly August and already the sunrise is getting later and the sunset earlier. Not a bad thing ! A day of rest and website updating !
I have been trying a number of different things recently. With the addition of a new lens and now a drone i hope to try and experiment and take me out of my comfort zone Watch this space ?
I have had some trips away including a trip to the Maldives ! What an amazing place. A very small island. However some spectacular scenery. Especially when a storm was approaching. I have had trips to the magnificent Corfe Castle, Local beaches to try some MilkyWay shots
I have just had the draft images sent to me prior to their fitting in Cornwall at at Godrevy campsite . I am really please how these have turned out. I now have my images displayed ar late wall murals across the country.
Generally it has been fairly quiet with my photography journey. Despite getting out and about i have not really found much to share in my usual channels of getting my art out there. I have been practicing Macro also. Getting prepared for Autumn maybe ?
I had cataract surgery this year and this stopped some of my trips out to allow my eye to recover. The difference was remarkable ! I can view my compositions through both eyes !
I have taken a few booking for friends to take photos of family events which has been nice to do. A real pleasure to be asked ! I have also a couple of bookings now for some outdoor shoots including a prom shoot with a horse ! That should be different !
It is something that i would like to do more of. I am currently trying to get together with another photographer to try and get some practice in. I look forward to that and learning from each other. Perhaps trying to get out and make a little money to finance some more kit !
A friend of mine has rediscovered his love for photography with some new kit . We are talking a little about doing some small intimate weddings ? I am also seeking some shoots of families in the open !

I had cancelled my website with a view to not continuing with it. I felt that i had my year of the WWW and despite some good viewing figures it did not produce any leads. However i was offered a good deal and i have kept with it for another year!
