I am sitting in my studio at home looking out of the window. It seems winter has finally arrived! The days of wearing my shorts are now numbered and i may have to succombe to wearing trousers again! Snow is falling and has been forecast across the country. However living far south we rarely get snow! We are warned of icy conditions though! I would love some snow !
Autumn has been as lovely as ever.We have had such mild conditions. It has to come to an end ! Last night when i was driving back from Swanage. The roads were covered in leaves having been blown down by the strong winds and rain that arrived for a couple of hours. The days of Autumnal walks are fading fast. This may be my last chance to get out and film the leaves. With a hard frost expected and some sunny clear conditions it could be lovely last times ? Just need to sort my location!
I had a great trip to Dartmoor with my friend Bunker Photography. We has three lovely days travelling around the area based near Haytor. Some early mornings. But one stunning sunrise. A good location to fly the drone and practice with that.Dartmoor is so wild and beautiful. The roads though ! They can be so narrow! We definitely plan to revisit there soon.
I had the privilege of taking photos for a lovely family at Hengistbury Head. I was contacted and we discussed options. As we both love Hengistbury Head it became the chosen location. We were so lucky with a beautifully sunny and warm weather. We had a great couple of hours walking and taking and getting some lovely family shots.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club contacted me and informed me that one of my Corfe Castle images was going to feature on the front of a yearly sites directory hand book. I was so please to have the image chosen. Also one of images featured as the back drop to the Caravan and Motorhome show at the NEC in Birmingham ! To have my images chased from all that the club get is for me a great achievement . It makes it all worthwhile.
I had my calendar printed and these have now gone on sale. I have sold most of them already. I must say that i am very pleased with them. They are of Dorset, Hampshire and Cornwall. I have a few left if any readers are interested?
I recently published on my Facebook page an image of a horse in the New Forest. It was a beautiful winter scene of a horse whose breath you could see in the cold air. I was contacted by a viewer and asked if i could do a canvas for her ! Wow i thought ! Nervous ! The lady wanted an 80x 60 canvas!
It was ordered and a price agreed. It has arrived and will go out today ! It is such a lovely feeling to know that my art will be featured in someones home !
With Christmas approaching i hope to experiment with some Christmas images. I have a trip to Amsterdam and Brugge’s planned before Christmas. I hope to see snow at least ! If not it will certainly help get the Christmas mood up and running!
